Pickett's Mill Family Group Shelter

 

       The group shelter is available for one-day assemblies such as family reunions, church or civic club gatherings, and class reunions. It features one indoor & outdoor barbecue pit, a kitchen with stove and refrigerator, restrooms, fireplace, and tables and chairs for up to 175 people. The closed-in building may be heated and air conditioned year-round. Ample parking is adjacent to the shelter. Rental fee for weekdays (8:30 A.M. - 9:30 P.M.) is $100 and weekends $150, advance reservations are required. An additional $100 security deposit is due on the rental day.  Parking fee is required.

From Atlanta

From I-75: Take I-75 North to exit #277 (Acworth). Turn left onto Hwy 92 South. Continue following Hwy 92 for approximately 10 miles. Take right onto Hwy 41, after 1 mile turn left onto Hwy 92 South. Follow Hwy 92 South until you reach a four way stop. Follow Hwy 92 to the left. About 3 miles on your right will be the entrance to the group shelter.

From I-20:
Take I-20 exit #44. Turn left onto Thornton Rd. (Hwy 278) West. Follow Hwy 278 for 10 miles. Make a right onto Hwy 92. Look out for Pickett’s Mill signs as you continue. Travel North on Hwy 92 for approximately 6 miles. Look for Due West Rd. DO NOT turn onto Due West Rd, simply drive past. The road is a mile marker for you. The group shelter is located about 1/2 mile on your left.

From Marietta

Take Hwy 120 West for several miles. Turn right onto Hwy 92 North. Look for Due West Rd. DO NOT turn onto Due West Rd, simply drive past. The road is a mile marker for you. The group shelter is located about 1/2 mile on your left.

From Chattanooga or Northwest GA.

From I-75: Take I-75 North to exit #277 (Acworth). Turn left onto Hwy 92 South. Continue following Hwy 92 for approximately 10 miles. Take right onto Hwy 41, after 1 mile turn left onto Hwy 92 South. From Carrollton

Take Hwy 61 North towards the City of Dallas. Make a right onto Hwy 278. After several miles, make a left onto Hwy 92 North. Look for Due West Rd. DO NOT turn onto Due West Rd, simply drive past. The road is a mile marker for you. The group shelter is located about 1/2 mile on your left.

From Cartersville

Travel South on Hwy 41. Turn right onto Hwy 92. Follow Hwy 92 South until you reach a four way stop. Follow Hwy 92 to the left. About 3 miles on your right will be the entrance to the group shelter.
