This program is held yearly at the park. With help from volunteers and other state parks, Pickett's Mill Battlefield State Historic Site can provide a wide range of activities for future or current Junior Rangers.

Would you like to be a Junior Ranger?

All you need is a Junior Ranger workbook that you can get by contacting the park via phone or e-mail. Each child must complete there own workbook. Parents can help, but independent work is encouraged. When your child is done with the workbook simply attend one of many Junior Ranger Camps across the state to complete your Junior Ranger training. Now you get a Junior Ranger patch!

Junior Ranger Camp at Pickett's Mill

Are you between 8 and 12 years olds? If so, come out and join us for this one of a kind program! Feel a slithering snake in your hand, hear the call of an owl, or get your feet wet in a creek hike while earning a badge as a Junior Ranger! Remember to complete your Junior Ranger Workbook!
